Yasushi Shibutani

Education and Background
Dr. Shibutani earned his bachelor’s degree in biologic basis of behavior from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his medical degree at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York. He completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
He has been a proud member of the staff at Abington Memorial Hospital since 1993. He has been an active member of the Temple University School of Medicine Urology residency program since 1993. He is involved with training residents from Temple at Abington Memorial Hospital.
Certifications, Memberships, Accomplishments
Dr. Shibutani is a recipient of the Abington Ambassador Award, the Temple University Urology Resident Teaching Award, and has repeatedly been named a Top Doc by Philadelphia Magazine. He is a clinical associate professor of urology at the Temple University School of Medicine.
He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the Mid Atlantic Section of the American Urological Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the Philadelphia Urological Society
