Dr. Varun Sundaram is a board certified Urologist with Urology Austin

September 2023  Dr. Varun Sundaram has helped lead Urology Austin to be designated a Barrigel^® Center of Excellence by Palette Life Sciences.  The Barrigel Center of Excellence program recognizes physicians who have achieved an exceptional level of clinical expertise in the Barrigel procedure and display an overall dedication to patient education and improving outcomes.   Dr. Sundaram and the UA team are committed to minimizing the side effects of prostate radiation therapy and delivering the best possible care for their patients.

Dr. Varun Sundaram moved to Central Texas after practicing as a board certified Urologist in Gresham, Oregon. He completed his undergraduate studies and Medical Degree at Washington University in St. Louis. He subsequently completed his General Surgery Internship and Urology Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Sundaram practices in all areas of male and female Urology, with special areas of interest in BPH surgery, vasectomies, prostate cancer, low testosterone, erectile dysfunction and kidney stone treatment. He has been trained in Rezum Water Vapor Therapy,  Greenlight Laser Therapy and Aquablation for BPH, and SpaceOAR for men preparing to undergo radiation for prostate cancer. He also has specialization in robotic surgeries on the prostate and kidneys.
