Pankaj Kalra

Education and Background
Dr. Kalra graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in electrical engineering and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He subsequently completed an accredited fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Kalra is the director of robotic surgery at Phoenixville Hospital. He is one of the first surgeons to perform robotic prostatectomy in the region and has performed over 700 robotic procedures. He performs a range of minimally invasive surgeries including bladder and prostate removal, nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, urinary tract reconstruction, as well as advanced endoscopic and percutaneous removal of complex kidney stones.
He was recently awarded accreditation from the Surgical Review Corporation’s Robotic Center of Excellence.

Dr. Kalra is a MidLantic Urology Advanced Prostate Cancer Champion, specializing in the management and treatment of the disease.
He is certified with the American Board of Urology. He is a member of the American Urological Association and Large Urology Group Practice Association.
He has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and remains actively involved in educational activities in the field. He has been named a Top Doctor in numerous issues of the Main Line Today magazine and Philadelphia Magazine.
