Dr. Scott Wingo was born in Atlanta, GA. He earned his undergraduate degree, a B.I.E. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, with Highest Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He attended Emory University School of Medicine where he earned his MD. He completed General Surgery and Urology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed Fellowship training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotic Surgery. Dr. Wingo joined Lowcountry Urology Clinics upon completing Urology residency and fellowship training in August 2007.

Dr. Wingo is currently Chairman of the Department of Urology at Roper Hospital, and former Chairman of the Department of Urology at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital. He has multiple papers published in the Urologic Literature. He is married with four children and attends Seacoast Church
