Dr. Levi Deters earned his medical degree through the WWAMI program at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He then completed a six-year residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

His training included two years in general surgery, caring for critically ill patients and gaining experience in vascular, trauma, plastics, cardiothoracic, and transplant services, followed by four years of urology training with both adult and pediatric patients.

During residency, Dr. Deters also completed four years of advanced training on the da Vinci® robotic surgical system. In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Deters is passionate about teaching and serves on the faculty at both the University of Washington School of Medicine and Washington State University’s Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.

Dr. Deters is board-certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He holds privileges at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Holy Family Hospital, Valley Hospital, and Deaconess Medical Center, and serves on the committee for robotic surgery for the Providence Health Care System.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Deters has published research on kidney stones, bladder cancer, and prostate cancer, and has presented his work nationally. His honors include the Top Doctor Award for Spokane Urology and the Patients’ Choice Award.

Dr. Deters combines an empathic approach with a commitment to patient education, open discussion, and the use of innovative, minimally invasive treatments. He is proud to serve the Spokane community where he was born and raised, and where he now raises his family.
