Heather Jacobs is originally from Pembroke, NC. She attended UNC Pembroke, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology.  Following her graduation from UNC Pembroke, Heather attended Duke University School of Nursing and participated in the inaugural accelerated BSN program completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.  While working at Duke University Medical Center as an RN, Heather completed her Master’s in Nurse Education from Duke School of Nursing and transitioned to becoming Faculty with Robeson Community College’s ADN program, where she taught for 8 years. During her time as a nursing instructor, Heather completed her Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner from Duke School of Nursing. She has practiced with Southeastern Lumberton Urology and Duke Urology of Raleigh prior to joining AUNC in 2021. Heather is a CBUNA certified Urology Nurse Practitioner.  She lives in Apex with her husband Gregg, son Carter, daughter Emery, mother Beverly and two dogs. When she is not working, Heather is an involved sports parent supporting her kids in all their endeavors.
