Daniel Gerber
, M.D., M.S.
Dr. Daniel Gerber was born and raised in the Chicago area, and he is thrilled to have the opportunity to return in order to provide care to Chicagoans with a wide variety of urologic conditions. Dr. Gerber obtained his bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from Colgate University. He then went on to obtain his Master of Science degree in Physiology from Georgetown University, as well as his medical degree, where he graduated cum laude. Dr. Gerber then completed his residency in urologic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute, ranked the top training program for urology in the country.
Dr. Gerber is highly skilled in a variety of urologic procedures, and has a special interest in robotic and laparoscopic surgery, stone disease, benign prostate hyperplasia (or enlarged prostate), female urology, and erectile dysfunction.
Dr. Gerber has a wide research interest, and has published in a variety of areas including stone disease and numerous urologic cancers, including some of the first studies that evaluated the role of various prostate cancer focal therapies. He strives for thorough, open communication with his patients to ensure optimal care with the latest technology. In his personal life, he enjoys hiking with his two dogs, golf, cycling, and travel with his wife.
