Education and Training

Dr. Rafiei received his Bachelor of Science in Physiology from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2005. He attended Ross University School of Medicine, graduating in 2009. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery and urology, respectively, at the University of South Florida from 2009-2015. He joined Advanced Urology Institute (AUI) following graduation.

Certifications, Memberships, Accomplishments

Dr. Rafiei is board certified by the American Urological Association.

He currently serves on the board of directors of AUI. He is the past chair of Solaris Future Leaders Committee and sits on the Solaris health Board of Directors. He also serves on the LUGPA Political Affairs Committee and was the recipient of 2018 LUGPA Advocate of the Year Award.

In addition, he has served on several committees of Florida Urological Society (FUS) including Executive Committee Board, Young Urology Committee and Legislative/Government Affairs Committee and is currently the FUS representative to Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association (SESAUA).
